I was humbled today doing my first workout. It's okay. I don't mind it, but I certainly bit off more than I could chew. The strength portion was the following:
Every 2 mins, complete the following
5 sets of 3 Power Cleans and 2 Push Jerks @ 155lbs
The metcon was the following:
I certainly did not try to lift the prescribed weights so I scaled it to 125/140/155 lbs. Boy, did I overestimate those weights! The first 12 deadlifts were cake, the next 6 hang Cleans, were not 🤢 then the next 12 front squats just sapped all the energy from my body. And to add insult to injury, the 12 Push jerks were just awful! Thank goodness for those 3 min rest periods 😂
The second workout of the day was supposed to be a 2.5 mile 'easy' jog but Atlanta weather said "Nope!". Instead, I hopped on my indoor trainer to spin for approximately 35 mins. Water intake for the day went pretty easy...I was at 96 ozs by 230p. All in all, today was a good day. ON TO DAY 4!
